William Lee "Billy" Wheeler

William "Billy" Lee Wheeler, age 58, of Martinez, GA, passed away at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville on Sunday, June 7th, 2015. He was born on January 14th, 1957 in Germany to William "Bill" Eugene and Wanda Gosnell Wheeler of Clarksville. He served his country in the United States Army as a Sergeant First Class for 18 years, and then was employed at Ft. Gordon in Civil Service as a teacher of communications. He was a member of the New Providence United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his wife, Dezra Hinsch Wheeler of GA; one son,, Billy Wheeler, also of GA; two daughters, Tricia and Bobbi Jean Wheeler, both of Augusta, GA; one brother, Tim Wheeler (Uraina) of Clarksville; two sisters, Debra Christian and Victoria Caddy (Nick) of Clarksville; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Frederick Wheeler.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 12th, 10:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Gateway Funeral Home with Reverend Cynthia Talley officiating. Interment will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery with military honors. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, June 11th from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
