Gateway Funeral Home & Cremation Center is honored to serve the needs of families in Montgomery County and surrounding areas. Gateway is a family business, owned and operated by six funeral directors with more than 150 years of combined professional funeral service experience. The name, “Gateway” was chosen as a tribute to Clarksville’s nickname, “Gateway to the New South.” We are proud to be a part of Clarksville!
We are able to control our operating costs because we operate multiple funeral home, cemetery, and crematory locations in Tennessee including nearby Boyd Funeral Home in Ashland City, Dickson Funeral Home in Dickson, and Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly. Our funeral homes share staff and vehicles when necessary, and the combined volume allows us to negotiate lower prices for caskets and burial vaults. We are able to pass that savings along to our families and have been true to the principles that have made us a successful, small town family owned business, remaining focused on our hometown values.
Gateway Funeral Home & Cremation Center has now partnered with Resthaven Memorial Gardens located in at 2930 Highway 41A South in Clarksville to become Montgomery County’s first full service funeral facility offering complete options for funeral, cremation, and burial services. We invite you to call, or visit Gateway Funeral Home for a personal tour, and to get answers to questions on cremation options, funeral prices, cemetery/burial services, and pre-planning.
***At Gateway Funeral Home, the health and safety of our customers and staff are a top priority. We have been monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and want our friends in the community to know we are taking every precaution to make our Funeral Home a safe place. In this time of uncertainty, I want to reassure our families we are here to serve you, and we are still holding small family services as we understand the human need to celebrate the life of your loved one. However, we are not holding public funerals or visitations until further guidance from the CDC. The CDC has issued a statement to funeral homes through the National Funeral Directors Association.
– Private, family only visitation/service
– Private, family only internments
– No receptions to follow at the funeral home
– Families will be offered a public memorial service free of charge, at a later date to be determined safe by the CDC.
– The CDC recommends no more than 10 people.
We have raised our already high health standards by disinfecting all chapels, visitation rooms and arrangement rooms after each use and have added additional hand sanitizing stations throughout our facilities. Additionally, we have a very dedicated team, but we have encouraged them to stay home if they begin running fever or having flu like systems. Thank you for trusting us to serve you.***
