William Budd "Gator" Devine Jr.

William Budd Devine Jr., age 76 of Clarksville, TN passed away Sunday, August 23, 2020. William was born in Deland, FL on January 15, 1944 to William Budd Devine Sr. and Hattie Elizabeth Carroll Devine. He owned and operated Gators Body Shop in Clarksville from 1976 to 2006. Known as Gator to friends, William never met a stranger. He was very social and loved talking to people. He loved motorcycle riding. He will forever be remembered for loving his family. William is survived by the mother of his children, Betty Devine: sons William Ronald "Ron" Devine of Brooker, FL, Richard Donald "Donnie" Devine (Leann) of Clarksville, TN, Budd Allen Devine (Lawanda) of Clarksville, TN, and John Thomas Devine of Clarksville, TN; his sister, Betty Jane Tyndall of New Smyrna Beach, FL. He is also survived by grandchildren, Heather Daniels (David), Danielle Shields (Andrew), Bud C. Devine, Dustin Devine (Stephanie), Weston Devine, Devin Devine, Rachel Devine, Savannah Devine, Siler McDonald, Gwen Devine, 12 great grandchildren and 3 nephews. William is preceded in death by his parents, William and Hattie Devine and brother in law Charles Tyndall.

A memorial service for William will be held on Friday, September 4, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Gateway Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service.
