Warren William Witt

Warren William "Billy" Witt, age 71, passed away at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville on March 20th, 2015. He was born in Nashville on October 11th, 1943 to the late Warren Hayes and Easter Pulley Witt. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Martha Sue Witt of Nashville.

He graduated from Howard High School and was a United States Marine Corp Veteran, and also served in the Tennessee Army National Guard. He was employed by, and retired from the Tennessee Department of Corrections and The Tennessean Newspaper.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Slate Witt of Pleasantview; a daughter Kaycee Drake and son-in-law Jimmy Pelerine of CA; three grandchildren, Raven Lemcke, Mika Hanley, and Seth Pelerine of CA; four great-grandsons, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by brothers Harrison (Margaret) Witt of LaVergne, TN and David Witt of Antioch, TN.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. a t Bible Baptist Church in Clarksville.
