Ulessa Cassandra Brown

Ulessa Cassandra Brown, age 54, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN. She was born on November 2, 1966, in Chicago, IL to Ulyseus Brown Jr. and Wilma Brown.

Les graduated from Calumet High School in Chicago, IL, and served 5 years in the Army. She worked for Trane Technologies in Clarksville, TN for 25 years.

Les was a loving, kind person who never passed up the opportunity to make you laugh or a hot meal. She was very straightforward. She would never hesitate to serve you the truth, but she would always serve it with love. She loved music, technology, and spending time with family and friends.

Preceded in death is her mother Wilma Brown and sister Sheryl Brown. Ulessa Brown's memory will forever be cherished and lived on through her loving daughter Nichelle Ancrum and her father, Ulyseus Brown Jr. She is also loved and survived by her siblings: Raymond, Tony, Chad, and Bernard (Jennifer); Grandchild Kason; Nieces and nephews: Shirley, Christopher, Lillie, Jerome, Jontae, Akiyah, Jeanie, Isaiah, Desirae, Dereon, Christian, and Kyrie; fianc Gary Ogburn; her beloved cats, Tom and Vatken.

A visitation for Ulessa will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020, at Gateway Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, November 14, 2020, at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church at 12:00 P.M. with visitation for one hour prior to the service. Rev. James Palmer will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
