Theresa "Teri" Carter

Theresa "Teri" Carter age 61 of Clarksville, passed away on Sunday October 25, 2020 in Clarksville, TN. She was born March 27, 1959 in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of the late Norman Richard Schalk and Mary Joan Bell Schalk. Teri served her country in the US Army for three years. Teri earned her bachelor Degree from Fresno State University. She is a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and for many years was an active member of the Clarksville Jaycees. She was devoted to her career as a paralegal, working with attorney Christine Zellar Church and with Legal Aid. She is survived by her daughter Joni Davis (Joel) of Clarksville, sons David Mark Carter Jr. of Camden, TN and Matthew Barbour of Denver, CO. She is also survived by brothers Donald Lee Schalk of Clarksville and David Richard Schalk of Quartsize, AZ. Also surviving are grandchildren Jacob Davis, Amya Thornton Davis, Kainoa Lucas, Leilani Lucas, Piper Davis, Baylee Carter, and Katherine Barbour. In addition to her parents, Teri is preceded in death by a sister Diana Lynn Schalk. A celebration of Teri's life will be held at a later time.
