Ruby Joyce Boyd

Joyce, "Granny B", was born on September 22, 1937, to Henry Lurton Durham and Lillie Katherine Durham of McEwen, TN. She grew up on Hurricane Creek Rd and was one of 9 children.
Joyce worked various jobs throughout her life including ACME Boot for 6 years where she met Jimmy Robert Boyd "Pepaw". Joyce and Jim were married for 45 years. Joyce worked at ACME, went to school nights and weekends, and studied to become a Beautician. She retired from her privately owned shop, "Wildwood Rd Beauty Salon", in Clarksville. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, and most of all taking care of others. She moved into Arcadia Senior Independent Living in February of 2023 and loved her new adventure in life. She loved making new friends, playing cards, and puzzles, exercising, and was on the Clonary Board. Joyce was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Clarksville, TN.
Joyce is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Jimmy) Crosby of Woodlawn, TN; grandson, Justin (Jessica) Crosby; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Drake, and Khloe Crosby; grandson, Stewart (Michelle) Crosby; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Greyson, and Heath; son, Bryant (Lena) Boyd; grandson, Travis (Seira) Boyd, Tyler Boyd, Taylor (Hannah) Boyd; and great-grandchildren, Gage and Paisley. Joyce was the most caring and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Margaret Patterson; brothers, Bobby Durham, Alton Durham, and Kenneth Durham; her husband, Jimmy Boyd, and her son, Dorman Wayne Dotson.

Funeral services will be held at Gateway Funeral Home on Friday, March 29, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. with visitation beginning at 12:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
