Mary Margaret Turner

Mary Margaret Turner age 82 of Clarksville, passed away peacefully on Saturday November 28, 2015 at Spring Meadows in Clarksville. She was born October 29, 1933 in Erin, TN. She is the daughter of the late George W. Griffin Sr. and Lucille Sugg Griffin. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Robert Taylor Turner.

Margaret is survived by six daughters, Charlotte Turner of Oak Ridge, TN; Teresa Ellis and Ray Maki of Clarksville; Cindy Wirtz and Karl of Marysville, OH; Robin Morgan of Clarksville; Natalie Rine and Jimmy of Virginia Beach, VA; and Jennifer Meyers of Clarksville. She is also survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Coulter and Ed and Janet Combs and Don as well as a brother George W. Griffin Jr. and Betty. Margaret is also survived by nine grandchildren, Megan Ellis, Robert Ellis, Mitchell Wirtz, Caroline Wirtz, Ethan Wirtz, Rachael Rine, River Rine, Dylan Rine and Chelsea Steelman as well as three great- grandchildren Zayden Riordan, Carson Ellis, and Evie Ellis-Shaw.

She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Gold Star Wives. She was a homemaker and had also worked at Acme Boot Company for several years.

Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday December 5, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Gateway Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be for one hour prior to services.
