Mary Dean Fuqua

Mary Dean Fuqua age 80 of Clarksville, passed away on Wednesday July 15, 2020 at Tennova Healthcare. She was born August 20, 1939 in Florence, AL, the daughter of the late Artie Wallace and Wilidene Hayes Wallace. Mary was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved her flowers and her soap operas. She and her husband bought and sold at flea markets for many years and operated M&M Merchandise for several years. She is survived by her son Malcolm David Fuqua (Wendy) of Cunningham, TN; daughters Mary Kathryn Fuqua Atkins (Danny) of Sango, TN; Patricia "Trish" Lou Fuqua Hurt (Kevin) of Clarksville; and Susan Fuqua Wright (Michael) of Clarksville. She was also blessed with eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Mary will also be missed by her little dog, Peanut. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Malcolm Fuqua who passed away in 2015 and an infant sister Maudie Elaine. She is also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Christie Lynn Durham and Isabelle Grace Fuqua and a great grandson Brayden Fuqua. Funeral services for Mary will be conducted on Monday July 20, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Gateway Funeral Home with Brother David Mackens officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of services on Monday. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
