Martha Graye Wall

Martha Graye Wall, age 89 passed away on Wednesday, November 15th, 2017 at Clarksville Nursing and Rehab in Clarksville, TN. She was born on February 20th, 1928 to the late Hervey Johnson Hawkins and Hazel Buck Hawkins. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Clayton Wall in 1980; two grandsons James Wall II, Daniel Bush; two brothers, Ronald Brown Hawkins and Hervey Johnson Hawkins, and two sisters, Rebecca Caira and Joyce June Albright.

She was a graduate from Clarksville High School in 1947, had been employed by Grandpa's for twenty years; and was an accountant for Rob Durrett Construction. She was also a member of the Community Church and loved to cook and sew. She made curtains for many people in Clarksville and enjoyed Sunday dinners.

She is survived by one son, James Franklin Wall (Dana) of Clarksville; two daughters, Yvonne Rose Sanderson (Mike) of Gaston, NC, Mona Dawn Collins (Johnnie) of Grand Rivers KY; ten grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 18th at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Gateway Funeral Home with Brothers Howard Johnson and Sam Hill officiating. Interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will begin on Friday, November 17th from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
