Lois G. Collins

Lois G. Collins age 72 of Southside, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday February 17, 2021 at Alive Hospice in Nashville.  She was born October 9, 1948 in Clarksville, the daughter of the late Liston Gaither and Dora Murphy Gaither.  Lois is a graduate of Clarksville High School.  She is a homemaker and devoted her life to her children and family and her church.  She is a member of the Liverworth Church of God of Prophecy.  She enjoyed taking part in church activities, especially cooking at the church.  Left to cherish her memory is her husband Johnny D. Collins of Southside; her daughters Carol Collins Miller (Jim) of Clarksville and Sheila Collins Mensing of Southside.  Also surviving are sisters Janie Arms of Clarksville; Dorothy Carlson of Hopkinsville, KY; Rubye Potter of Clarksville; and Frances Spencer of Palmyra; and her brother Carl Gaither of Missouri.  She is blessed with five grandsons Jonathan Miller, Richie Miller, Collins Mensing, Casey Miller, and Cole Mensing as well as eight great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Russell Gaither and her sisters Mary Alice Jackson and Mildred Zander.  Funeral services for Lois will be conducted on Monday February 22, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Gateway Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Burton officiating.  Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Miller, Richie Miller, Collins Mensing, Casey Miller, Cole Mensing, Jacob Miller, Jarrod Wampler, and Henry Ray.
