Lillie B. Pope

Lillie B. Pope, age 58, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020. She was born on July 22, 1962, in Chicago, IL to the late Edward Lee Pope and Lula Mae Burton Pope. Lillie graduated from Carver High School in 1980 and attended the University of Memphis in 1995. She was employed as a Secretary for Meals on Wheels in Memphis, TN. Lillie was a member of Greater Missionary Baptist Church of Clarksville, TN under the leadership of Pastor Willie Freeman. Lillie had a heart of gold and would go above and beyond to help others in need, including being a caregiver to her mother and brother. She was a very determined woman with a go-getter spirit. Lillie was a child of God and extended encouragement to anyone she came into contact with.

Lillie's memory will forever be cherished by her loving son, Gregory Allen (Lisa Booker); her siblings, Willie Pope (Melissa) and Deotrice J. Pope; grandchildren, Jeanika Allen, Gregory Jones, and Zeniah Allen. She also leaves behind a host of loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-great nieces, great-nephew, and great-great-nephew. In addition to her parents, Lillie is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Roger Pope and Rodney Pope.

A memorial service for Lillie will be held at Gateway Funeral Home on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at 2:00 P.M. with a visitation for one-hour prior. Pastor Willie Freeman will officiate the service.
