Larry Ronald Cruthis

Larry Ronald Cruthis Sr., age 83, of Clarksville, TN, passed away at his home on Tuesday November 30, 2021.  He was born April 6, 1938 in Sorento, IL, the son of the late Fred and Violet Cruthis.  Larry was a hard working person during his life.  He was a school bus driver in Clarksville and on Ft. Campbell, he also had an ice cream truck on Ft. Campbell.  For many years he was an antique dealer and had an antique store in Illinois for a period of time.  For several years he operated concession stands at the city swimming pools.  He attended the Assembly of God Church and for many years he played and sang with a local country band.  He is survived by his sons Larry R. Cruthis Jr. of Clarksville and David A. Cruthis (Sherry) of Dexter, MO.  Also surviving are five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers Harvey Cruthis, and Danny Cruthis, and sisters Betty Cruthis, Sharon Reed, Joyce Scott, and Judy Chumley.  There are no public funeral services scheduled at this time.  Arrangements are under the care of Gateway Funeral Home and Cremation Center  335 Franklin Street  Clarksville, TN  37040.  Phone 931-919-2600.  Online condolences may be made by going to www.gatewayfh.com
