Joyce Boyd Jarrell

Joyce Boyd Jarrell, age 87, passed away July 27, 2017 at CURAHealth Hospital in Bordeaux. Mrs. Jarrell was the daughter of the late Betty Allone (Shivers) and Fred Boyd of Fredonia. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Reginald K. Jarrell, her first husband, Samuel S. (Pete) Shearron, Sr. of Ashland City, her siblings, Dr Reuther Boyd, Fritz Boyd of St. Simon, GA, and her twin sister, Betty Loyce Duffey of Dallas, TX. Mrs. Jarrell was retired from the medical practice of Drs. Boyd & Montgomery, and later as bookkeeper at Bubba's Countyline Market in Fredonia. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She is survived by her son, Samuel S. (Pete) Shearron, Jr. (Carol), and daughter, Sherrie S. Burns (Bobby), one grandson, Miles S. Shearron of Atlanta, and 2 granddaughters, Amanda Davenport and Katherine Davenport, and 2 great-granddaughters, Aurelia and Adelina Sullivan, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be Monday, July 31, 2017 from 4pm till 7pm at Gateway Funeral Home. Graveside service for Mrs. Jarrell will be Tuesday August 1, 2017 at 11:00am at Will Smith Cemetery in Ashland City, TN.
