Joy Plashette Edwards

Joy Plashette Edwards age 46 of Clarksville, passed away on Sunday February 7, 2021 at Tri Star Stone Crest Medical Center in Smyrna, TN.  Joy was born October 21, 1974 in St. Petersburg, FL, the daughter of Elizabeth Edwards of Clarksville, and the late Charles Edwards.  She had worked as a respiratory therapist while living in St. Petersburg and upon moving to Clarksville, has worked with Electrolux until her health no  longer permitted her to work.  Joy was a great Christian woman who gave unconditional love to others.  In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sons Marquez McCalpin of Clarksville and Chaz Edwards of Clarksville.  Also surviving are brothers Dana Pittman, Ameche Walker, and Chuck Edwards and her sister Nika.  She is also blessed with her grand daughter Jamyiah Wilson.  There are no public funeral services planned at this time.  Arrangements are under the care of Gateway Funeral Home and Cremation Center  335 Franklin Street  Clarksville, TN  37040.  Phone 931-919-2600.  Online condolences may be made by going to www.gatewayfh.com.
