John Karl Perry

John Karl Perry age 92 of Clarksville went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday November 18, 2015 at Alive Hospice in Madison, TN. He was born February 9, 1923 in Bridgeport, W VA, the son of the late Hollis Cole Perry and Esther Cornwell Perry.

John served in the US Army during WW II. He received his B.S. degree from John Brown University and his M.A. degree from Oklahoma A & M University. During his career, John worked in various areas of the country as a Civil Engineer with the Army Corps of Engineers. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. While living in Clarksville, he has been active in First Baptist Church and Gideons International.

He is survived by a son John Carl Perry of Eugene, OR and a daughter Jean Petersen and husband Chris of Celina, TX; as well as four grandchildren and two great grandchildren with another on the way. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Ruth Evelyn Newell Perry who passed away in 2012. He is also preceded in death by two brothers James and Bob Perry. The family will conduct memorial services at a later date.
