Joey Wayne Wells-Strickland

Joey Wayne Wells-Strickland age 61 of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Sunday January 3, 2021 at Tri Star Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.  Joey was born October 28, 1959 in Florence, SC.  He is the son of the late Hughes “Hughey” Strickland and Mary Jane Driggers Strickland.  Joey had worked in factories during his working life.  He is a Dallas Cowboys fan and he enjoyed going to church.  He also enjoyed taking car rides.  Survivors include his sisters Sheila Degley (David) of Clarksville; Teresa McGee Clinard of Guthrie, KY; Jackie Hughes of Wilkes-Barre, PA; and Gail Ray of Fayetteville, NC; also his brother Johnny Foster of Paducah, KY.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  Arrangements are under the care of Gateway Funeral Home and Cremation Center  335 Franklin Street  Clarksville, TN  37040.  Phone 931-919-2600.  Online condolences may be made by going to www.gatewayfh.com.
