Jer'rion Marquis Thurmond

Jer’rion Marquis Thurmond entered this life on January 11, 2001, at Jennie Stuart Hospital in Hopkinsville, Kentucky and resided in Clarksville, Tennessee until the Lord brought him home.

At an early age, Jer’rion enjoyed attending youth group at Living Waters Church in Oak Grove, Kentucky, where he met most of his lifelong friends.  In his spare time, he enjoyed practicing Taekwondo and was a skilled video gamer.

Jer’rion graduated from Hopkinsville High School in 2019 and was very talented in his educational studies. Recently, he was studying housing renovations, electrical works, and plumbing. 

Jer’rion was a natural protector of his family and friends. To know him was to love him. His smile would light up any room. 

Jer’rion will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but no more than his loving parents, Judith Simmonds (Mom), Tosha Johnson (Biological Mother), Kim Thurmond (Stepmom), Jerry Thurmond (Father), loving grandmothers, Mary Leavell, Ethel Lee Mason, and Phyllis Thurmond, devoted aunt, Latrice Ruby, loving uncles, Leslie Johnson, Kenneth Thurmond, and Roy Thurmond, devoted siblings, Luke Simmonds, Jade Simmonds, De’onta Johnson, Ardez Johnson, Na’jee Johnson, Tanna Smith, Tommy Thurmond, Dorothea Jeanine Thurmond, Tasha Thurmond and Jeri Thurmond, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Gateway Funeral Home on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
