Hurley A. Dennis Jr

Hurley A. Dennis Jr, age 84, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. He was born January 16, 1939 in Clarksville, TN to the late Hurley A. Dennis Sr. and Laura Garrett Dennis.

Hurley accepted Christ at an early age while a member of Woodlawn Elizabeth Baptist Church. Later on, he became an integral part of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church community in Clarksville, TN under the leadership of Reverend Doris Powell. Hurley's commitment to his church was evident as he faithfully served as a Deacon for many years and sang in the male choir. Hurley enjoyed the time he spent fishing with his wife, Annie, and also loved barbecuing. He enjoyed tinkering with things, taking them apart, and reassembling them.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Annie Dennis; his children, Sandra (Charley) Roman, Hurley A. Dennis III, Deverick Dennis, and Reginald Dennis; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, and a host of other loving relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Hurley is preceded in death by several siblings.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 275 Tylertown Rd, Clarksville, TN 37040.
