Eurtice P. Allen

Eurtice P. Allen, age 92, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Thursday October 21, 2021 at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville.  He was born May 9, 1929 in Opelika, AL, the son of the late Rex Delano Allen and Irene Wood Allen.  Eurtice served his country in the US Army for over 20 years.  He served in Korea and Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star.  Following his time in the military, he was a truck driver for many years until his retirement.  He is survived by his sons, Dale Allen (Terri Lynn) of Woodlawn, Terry M. Allen (Lisa) of Clarksville, Mark Allen (Missy) of Henrietta, TN, and Timmy Allen of Clarksville.  He is also survived by his brother Greg Allen of The Valley, AL, and his sister Ann Howard of The Valley, AL.  He is also survived by six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  Eurtice is preceded in death by his wife JoAnn Brown Allen and several brothers and sisters.  He will be placed at the Kentucky Veteran Cemetery, West in Hopkinsville, KY on Friday November 19, 2021 at 2:00 PM with military honors.  Arrangements are under the care of Gateway Funeral Home and Cremation Center  335 Franklin Street  Clarksville, TN  37040.  Phone 931-919-2600.  Online condolences may be made by going to www.gatewayfh.com.
