Douglas Lawrence Guentert Jr.

Douglas Lawrence Guentert Jr., age 70, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at AHC Clarksville. He was born on September 16, 1952 in Houston, TX to the late Douglas L. Guentert Sr., and Norma Viola Ulrich Guentert.

Douglas proudly worked as a Longshoreman in Long Beach, CA and was a lifetime member of the International Longshore Workers Union (ILWU). Aside from work, he enjoyed watching old western movies and the Price is Right. He also liked adding to his coin collection and appreciated old cars. Douglas loved making people laugh and he especially loved his family.

Left to cherish his memory are his children; Daniel (Aimee) Guentert, and Shanna (Jason) Wimberly; grandchildren, Audrey and Gatlin Guentert; his sister, Janet (Luke) Lewis; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Douglas is preceded in death by his wife of almost 38 years, Lisa Guentert, and two sisters, Geraldine Guentert and Debbie Craymer.

There are no public funeral services scheduled.
