Constance Leonard

Constance “Connie” Leonard, age 74, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Wednesday,  August 18, 2021 at Ascension St. Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN.  She was born January 18, 1947 in Fayetteville, NC, the daughter of the late Austin Thomas Sr. and Pauline McMillan Thomas.  Connie was a homemaker and is a member of Lane Tabernacle CME Church in Hopkinsville, KY.  Survivors include her children Eddie McMillan, Victor Leonard (Pamela) , Jecory Leonard, Deirdra Lewis, and DeShonda Leonard.  Also surviving are sisters Sally Thomas and Jackie Weston and a brother Austin Thomas Jr. as well as eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James Leonard and brothers Anthony McMillan and Rodney Thomas.  The family is planning a celebration of Connie’s life at a later date.  Arrangements are under the care of Gateway Funeral Home and Cremation Center  335 Franklin Street  Clarksville, TN  37040.  Phone 931-919-2600.  Online condolences may be made by going to www.gatewayfh.com.
