Christopher Bryant "Chris" Johnson

Christopher Bryant "Chris" Johnson age 47 of Clarksville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday August 27, 2019 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Chris was born in Clarksville on June 15, 1972, the son of John Lee Johnson Sr. and Margaret Ann Wiggins Johnson. Chris is a graduate of Northeast High School. He has worked all of his life, and was employed with State Stove and later with Bosch Braking Systems, later becoming Akebona Brake Pads. He enjoyed his work and work friends at Akebona. He is a member of Lester's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. He was a weightlifter and enjoyed working out at Planet Fitness. He was an avid reader, especially Charles Stanley inspirational writings. He volunteered his time with Clarksville Mentoring Youth and was proud of his community of South Guthrie. He is survived by his parents John and Margaret Johnson; his brother John Johnson Jr. of Daphne, AL; and his sister Michelle Johnson (Antono) of Enterprise, AL. Also surviving is a nephew Dallin (Rosaline) Johnson; and two nieces Mikaylah Rayton and Bella Hobson as well as a great nephew Chance Collins. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday August 31, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the chapel of Gateway Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Boyd officiating.
