Charles Hubert Winchester, Jr. born on June 17, 1952, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 8, 2025 at his home in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Charlie was preceded in death by his loving father, Charles Hubert Winchester, Sr.; brothers, Charles Winchester, J. H. Winchester and wife Susan and Tony Winchester.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Barbara A. Winchester; sons, Michael Winchester and wife Tricia of Virginia, Charles Hubert Winchester III of Clarksville, Tennessee, Christopher Winchester and wife Tiffany of Raeford, North Carolina and Chadwick Winchester and wife Elizabeth of Elizabethtown, North Carolina; mother, Martha L. Jones of Clarksville Tennessee; brother, Billy Winchester of Clarksville Tennessee; sisters, Lisa Winchester and Lucille Burkeen and husband Jerry of Clarksville, Tennessee; 13 Grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; many beloved nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Charlie was a loving husband and cherished father of his 4 sons. He lived a life marked by faith, love and ministry of Christ. He was a man who walked humbly with God and served others with kindness, grace, generosity and was always a character for his grandchildren. He always strived to follow God's path and share his love for Christ with family and others in the community. He found joy in serving others with the word of God as well as lending a helping hand in doing sheetrock, He enjoyed hunting and fishing and traveling to Honduras and Alaska and Russia for ministries as his hobbies. He loved his wife and children, he was their rock, and their protector and never too busy to lend support.

Those who knew Charlie will remember him for his warm heart, steady presence and open arms. He was the one you could always count on whether it was a prayer, a laugh, someone to lean on, or someone that you just needed to hear that hard advice from.

Though our hearts are heavy as we take comfort in knowing Charles is now in the presence of his Lord that he served so faithfully and is no longer in pain. His Legacy will live on in the hearts of those he loved and the positive impact he had on people around the world. His spirit will live in those that he loved and that he shared faith with and provided guidance to, and the ones whose lives that he's touched.

A celebration of life will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Church of God of Prophecy, 1586 New

Ashland City Hwy Clarksville, Tennessee 37040, with Pastor Mike Burton will officiate. Visitation will be held 4:00 until 7:00 PM Monday, May 12, 2025 at Gateway Funeral Home and Cremation Services 1875 Hwy 48 Clarksville, Tennessee 37040 and one hour prior to the service at the church. All are welcome to honor and remember the incredible man Charlie was.
