Charles "Chuck" Clayton Allender, age 67, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Chuck was born on August 12, 1955, in Cincinnati, OH to the late Charles Walter and Gennilee Faye Allender.
Chuck served in the United States Air Force from 1974 until 1978. He then became a Steel Manufacturer in 1978 until he retired in 2010. In December of 1978, he married his soulmate, Laurie and together they raised 4 children, who went on to have 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Chuck loved to read and he enjoyed reading religious books but knew the Holy Bible was the true word. He loved to build and create things, especially model planes and cars. He was smart, quiet, slow to anger, and loved to spread his words of wisdom. Chuck was a very humble, kind, gentle, and selfless man.
He is survived by his wife, Laurie of Clarksville,TN; children, Jennifer (Richard) Adamowich, Charles Allender, Julie McGraw, and Christina (Matthew) Parks; grandchildren, Kayla, Halley, Mathew, Ayden Adamowich, Tiffany (Brent) Altman, Shyla, and Alexis Allender, Tristan and Trevor Kershaw, and Isaiah and Jeremiah Glossip; his brother, Gary (Victoria) Allender; sister, Genie Allender, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Chuck is preceded in death by his sister, Iva Colburn; granddaughter, Kenna Adamowich, and his son-in-law, Carl McGraw.
There are no public funeral services scheduled.
