Bobby Harold Green

Bobby Harold Green, age 70, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Monday January 24, 2022 at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville.  He was born July 30, 1951 in Ft. Campbell, KY, the son of the late Walter Harold Green and Zella Mae Wallace Green.  Bobby is a 1970 graduate of Clarksville High School.  He served his country in the US Army.  Bobby was always very mechanical and was employed for 10 years with Trane Corporaton and later with Gannett Publishing in building maintenance for 20 years.  He served as a deacon with Cumberland Drive Baptist Church for 30 years and is currently a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.  He is a devoted Christian and he loved the Lord and had a servant’s heart.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf but was primarily a family man who loved and was loved by his family.  Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 35 years, Sonja Lynn Green; his daughters Stephanie Henry (Jeff) of Clarksville; and Emilee Stephens (Eric) of Phoenix, AZ.  Bobby was blessed with ten grandchildren, Kodi Bomberry, Samuel Henry, Zachary Stephens, Judson Stephens, Emma Stephens, Will Stephens, Josiah Stephens, Josh Jent-Stephens, Jacob Henry, and Shanna Henry.  Funeral services will be conducted on Friday January 28, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Gateway Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Jeter and Brother David Fambrough officiating.  Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be on Thursday January 27, 2022 from 3-7 PM and for one hour prior to services at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant View Baptist Church Building Fund or the LeAnn Fambrough Memorial Fund @ PO Box 682789  Franklin, TN  37068.  Arrangements are under the care of Gateway Funeral Home and Cremation Center  335 Franklin Street  Clarksville, TN  37040  Phone 931-919-2600.  Online condolences may be made by going to www.gatewayfh.com.
