Betty Lee Hughes, age 73, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville,TN. She was born on July 12, 1946 in Columbus, OH to the late Kenneth Reed and Betty Reed Marchington. Betty worked as a Scheduler for Premier Medical Group and retired after 14 years. She had a few hobbies including playing the game of Bingo, watching soap operas, listening to country music, and drinking Pepsi. Also, she loved Elvis Presley and Betty Boop. Betty attended Hillcrest Baptist Church in Clarksville, TN.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Tracy Braley (Petra), Scott Jackson (Sandy Lopez), David Jackson (Tiffany), and Angel Plumpton, a step-daughter, Chasity Krupko (Aaron); siblings: Jan Bleything, Candace Howard, and Karen; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her sister, Sheila Guimond and half-brother, Scott Reed.

A memorial service for Betty will take place on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 380 Dover Rd. Clarksville, TN 37042 at 12:00 P.M. Pastor Jerry Hardwell will officiate the service. Arrangements are under the care of Gateway Funeral Home and Cremation Center; 335 Franklin St. Clarksville, TN 37040; Phone: 931-919-2600.
