Anthony (Tony) Reed Dailey III age 58 of Clarksville, passed away on Sunday December 24, 2017 at his residence following a brief illness. Tony was born August 9, 1959 in Bourne, MA the son of the late Anthony R. Dailey Jr. and Mary Ester Hollis. Tony proudly served his country for 8 years in the U.S. Army. During his time in the service, he received numerous awards and citations. He has worked for several years as a maintenance technician with Winn Residential. He is survived by his wife Brenda Kay Jesse Dailey of Clarksville; sons Antonio D. Dailey of Hopkinsville; Terrell J. Dailey of Bowling Green, KY; and Isaac C. Walker of Clarksville; daughters Misty G. Harris of Hopkinsville; and Tabitha N. Bailey of Hopkinsville. He is also survived by brothers Rene A. Dailey of Murfreesboro, TN; and Myles S. Dailey of Mt. Juliet, TN; and sisters Annette M. Johnson of Mt. Juliet, TN; and Bernice A. Shurick of Nashville, TN. Tony is also blessed with 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday December 27, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at All Nations House of Prayer at 313 Edward Mills Road in Hopkinsville, KY. Pastor Garfield Curlin will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville. Friends may visit on Tuesday from 4-8 P.M. at Gateway Funeral Home in Clarksville and for the hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Arrangements are under the care of Gateway Funeral Home and Cremation Center 335 Franklin Street Clarksville, TN 37040. Phone 931-919-2600.
