Mr. Alex Eugene Frost age 82 of Clarksville, TN passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018. He was born in Mt. Pleasant, TN on January 6, 1936. Mr. Frost was an avid bowler. He also liked to tinker on cars, play cards, and enjoyed racing. He retired from the US Army in 1974 having served honorably for 20 years, serving in both Korea and Vietnam. He married Pearl Jean Hayes on March 2, 1957. He attended Louise United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Retired Enlisted Men Association and the American Legion. Mr. Frost is survived by his: Wife of 61 years-Pearl Jean Frost; Siblings-Clyde (Nancy) Frost, Bill Frost, Doug (Brenda) Frost, June (Roy) Osbourne; Children-Brenda Delozier of Clarksville, Susan (Mike) Hayes of Cumberland Furnace, Kathy Helms of Clarksville, David (Cheyeann) Frost of Clarksville; 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren; 2 dogs-Baby Doll & Buddy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his: Siblings-Claude (Joyce) Frost, Alexander Frost; Francis (Stanley) Furgerson, Louis (Jack) Collins, Mildred Fitzgerald, Shirley Osbourne. Visitation will be at Gateway Funeral Home on Monday, October 8, 2018 from 3-5 PM. A memorial service for Gene Frost will be held at Gateway Funeral Home on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 5:00 P.M. conducted by Joel Nulty. Mr. Frost will be placed at the Kentucky Veteran Cemetery West at Hopkinsville, KY at a later date.
