Jessie Thomas

Jessie Thomas, 76, of Clarksville, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020. Jessie was born on June 17, 1944, in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. She graduated from Maria Auxiliadora in Honduras and worked at the Instituto Nacional Agrario. She then moved to California where she worked as a librarian for many years prior to moving to Clarksville, TN. Jessie had a great love of life, family, and friends. She was a true and loyal friend, and once you entered her circle, you were guaranteed a spot for life. She kept in touch with family and friends all around. She loved spaghetti and going to a restaurant to eat crab legs.

She is survived by her son, Brian Thomas (Trinity), and their four children: Antonio, Arianna, Araceli, and Amaris of Nashville, TN; her life partner, Leo Shelton, of Cunningham, TN; her sisters, Gennie Caraccioli de Enamorado, of Honduras and Miriam Gramlich of Pensacola, FL. Her nieces and nephews: Karla Dunda (Mark), of Austin, TX and their children; Miguel Rivera (Mischelle) and their children of New Market, AL, Gustavo Rivera (Cristina), of King George, VA; Arturo Enamorado, of Miami, FL, and Celina Cerrato (Marco) and their son, of Houston, TX; Also survived by Leo's children; Joan Shelton (Mike) of Cunningham, TN, Jennifer Parker (Rodney), of Cunningham, TN, and Mike Shelton (Giovana) of Cunningham, TN.

Memorial Services will take place Friday, July 10, 2020, 12:00 noon at Gateway Funeral Home, 335 Franklin Street, Clarksville, TN, 37040. Telephone: 931-919-2600. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, Friday, July 10, 2020. Interment of the cremains will follow the services at Center Point Cemetery in Cumberland Furnace, TN.
