Diane Wheatley

Diane Wheatley age 69, passed away on Saturday November 7, 2020 at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville, TN. She was born August 22, 1951 in Nashville, TN, the daughter of the late Marvin Lafayette Russell and Dorothy Geraldine Arnett Jones. Diane enjoyed a full life with her husband Garey L. Wheatley, to whom she was married in 1975. Together, they owned and operated numerous and diverse businesses in various parts of the country. They enjoyed their life together and celebrated many experiences. She was devoted to her family and was the caregiver for family members many times during her life. She had a special love of children and worked as a pre-school teacher at a day care center. She was a professional DJ and she loved karaoke. She was also known for her banana pudding. She is a member of the Assembly of God Church in Americus, GA. Left to cherish her memory is her husband Garey L. Wheatley of Clarksville; her son Marvin Ray Wheatley (Stefanie) of Clarksville; her sister Teresa L. Burton (Ted) of Clarksville; and her granddaughter Kathrine Wheatley. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Edward Lee Wheatley and her brother Edward Allen Russell. A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Wednesday November 11, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Gateway Funeral Home. Visitation will be for the hour prior to services.
