Archie Neal Ford

Archie Neal Ford age 84 of Clarksville, passed away on Sunday August 5, 2018 at his residence. He was born July 27, 1934 in Clarksville. He is the son of the late Archie Lee Ford and Emma Bell Clinard. Archie had worked for many years in Chicago. He was a union lineman and was proud of his work on the electrical lines in the Chicago area. Following his retirement he drove a semi truck for several years until his second retirement. He is a member of the First Baptist Church, Kirkwood Campus. Archie also enjoyed fishing, traveling and flower gardening. He is survived by his wife Betty Buck Ford of Clarksville; sons Randy Ford (Rhetta) of Dayton, TN; and Dennis Ford of Rockwell, KY; a daughter Kathleen Gruber of Avon, IN; and step daughters Sharon Quinn (Pat) of Schiller, IL; Mary Hightower (Bobby Hansen) of Russellville, KY; and Martha P'Pool (Denzil) of Clarksville. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren as well as one great grand child. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Ray Ford, sisters Christine O'Bryan and Gracie Smithson and a daughter in law Kathy Ford. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday August 7, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at the chapel of Gateway Funeral Home with Brother J.J. King officiating. Visitation will be from 11 A.M. until the time of services on Tuesday.
